False statements (posed as questions) about the role of the President’s Spouse
Factuality Rating: False
Claim:
Does Michael Hill’s husband need a golf cart to tool around in? Golf carts cost money and they are for the use of senior staff. As far as I know Hill’s husband is not on the payroll here. (Or is he?) The Gadfly, June 27, 2024
Summary:
The spouse of Chautauqua Institution’s President receives no benefits other than the privilege of living in the President’s Cottage and a gate pass (all full-time, year-round Institution staff receive a gate pass in addition to their own as a benefit of employment for use by family and friends).
