During this program, Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer Amy Gardner presented on the goal of raising $150 Million in support of Chautauqua’s mission. As of June 13, 2024, Amy reported that $114,133,001 had been raised, or 76% of the $150 million goal.

The timeframe for Boundless is January 1, 2021-June 30, 2026. It is a comprehensive campaign that includes the Chautauqua Fund and the various projects and initiatives laid out in the case for support. The counting of gifts is consistent with past Chautauqua campaigns and is aligned with professional standards, including the way that both Chautauqua Fund and estate gifts are recorded and reported. Here is a snapshot of what is included in the $114+ million raised so far:

Bridging the Pandemic: Goal: $5 million

Total Raised: $12,050,214 NOTE: This total includes the $8M Shuttered Venues Grant and individual gifts.

Building a Year-Round First Class Experience: Goal: $48 million

Total Raised: $20,931,214 (includes Athenaeum Hotel, Bellinger Hall, Buildings and Grounds Facility, Lake Conservation, Staff Housing Solution, Theater Building)

Delivering the On-Grounds Experience: Goal: $29.5 million

Total Raised: $23,064,822 (includes Chautauqua Fund and Strategic Initiatives)

Endowing a Vibrant Future: Goal: $50 Million

Total Raised: $43,352,704 (includes Flexible Endowment [Allows donors the flexibility to choose where to designate their funds each year], Program Excellence Endowment, Programmatic Leaders Endowment, and Scholarship Endowment)

Expanding Our Role as a Convener: Goal: $15 Million

Total Raised: $13,556,401 (includes Climate Change Initiative, Strategic Partnerships, Chautauqua Fellows Program, and CHQ Assembly)

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility: Goal: $2.5 Million
