The Colonnade is Open for Visitors
Factuality Rating: Question
Question:
Why are the offices of the Colonnade locked for visitor access?
Summary:
The offices are not locked for patron access. Patrons are welcome to visit the first and second-floor offices in the Colonnade. During the Summer Assembly, the lobby receptionist can help patrons access the office or offices they wish to visit. Outside of the Summer Assembly (and when the receptionist is not available), patrons may use the intercom system to ring the office or offices they wish to visit.
The remote intercom/lock system was implemented at the recommendation of security advisors who identified the previous approach to access as a risk for the organization. It is not intended to keep visitors out; but rather to provide an added level of security.
We suggest you make appointments with staff in advance of your visit, if possible. Of course, we will always work to accommodate walk-in visitors.
