Factuality Rating: Question
Question:
A few months ago I submitted a question to the Fact Checker asking if the DC lease was being extended-you said no. Today I received an email from Kyle [Keogh] stating he was closing the DC office. What was the beginning date of the present lease? Was the lease renewed?
Summary:
The starting date of the Washington, D.C. office lease is reported as 2020 in our 2024 audited financial statements, page 22. The lease has not been renewed since that date. The lease ends in 2028. The Institution has listed the space for lease through 2028.
Below are links to the 2024 audited financial statements where the lease obligation is reported, along with the June 6 message to the community on this topic from Kyle Keogh, Interim Chief Executive.
