How much is the total overhead expense of the Washington DC office, and what are the fundraising revenues gained directly from this presence?
Summary:
The Institution’s Washington, DC office lease is reported annually in the organization’s financial statements. In the 2023 (the most recent available) audited financial statements, that amount is $225,086. This expenditure is approved annually by the Board of Trustees as part of the institution’s operating budget.
Four members of the Advancement staff work primarily out of the DC office. That team, alongside the President of the Institution and other advancement staff, raised a record-breaking more than $37 million in 2024. In 2023, they raised more than $36 million.
